Meet Beth Romanski

 

Hi there!  I'm an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Professional Health Educator, Health Podcaster, Sugar Detox Expert and Healthy Lifestyle Enthusiast and founder of MyHealthyTransitions Health Coaching.  I have a bachelors in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management and a masters degree in Higher Education.  I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in 2013 where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories; everything from Ayurveda, gluten-free, and Paleo, keto, to raw, vegan, and macrobiotics, and everything in between.

It was a long-term goal of mine to pursue my certification as a Health Coach.  I overcame serious health issues that conventional doctors couldn't quite figure out by taking my health into my own hands; immersing myself in education about how nutrition and integrative strategies to wellbeing can truly heal the body.  I know first-hand how powerful food can be as medicine and now I've made it my career to help inspire others to find the dietary plan that works best for them.  I believe in the concept of bio-individuality - that there's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to health - and consider everyone I work with as unique individuals while looking at how everything is interconnected, not just treating one symptom.  My role as your Health Coach will be to provide you with knowledge and tools to understand YOUR body and what it needs and the actionable steps and skills to achieve your optimal state of health...this might not necessarily what be what works for someone else which is why it works for YOU.

Let's face it, there is a lot of confusing, conflicting and downright false information out there to sort through and how has the time to do it? I consider this a big aspect of my job as your Health Coach - I want to make it easier, not harder, to be healthy. We are all uniquely different, so why wouldn't it be the same about what type of diet will work best for you?  Working together, we will create your own unique Personal Nutrition Blueprint while exploring other aspects of wellness such as career, relationships, physical activity that all play a role in overall wellness.  The body and mind are connected and I approach wellness from a holistic perspective which isn't typical of a traditional health practitioner.  

I love what I do and feel like life is all about learning and growing.  I'm continuously expanding my skillsets and I have since gone beyond my IIN education to earn various nutrition credentials and to become a Sugar Detox expert. Not only has getting sugar out of my own diet improved my own health immensely, but I'm grateful for being able to help my father with his uncontrolled diabetes and my mother with her once debilitating arthritis simply through these simple dietary changes.  Developing and teaching my Sugar Detox Program is one of my favorite things to do...so if you're looking to get sugar out of your life, I'm your girl!

In addition to running my own health coaching practice, I'm the Director of Professional and Continuing Education at the Maryland University of Integrative Health.  In this role, I develop and manage innovative programming offerings to advance the integrative health education space by enhancing the skills of alternative medicine clinicians and wellness professionals.  This affords me the unique opportunity to synergize my passion and purpose; therefore I feel highly fulfilled through the work I do I'm on a mission to share the knowledge that is at our fingertips with the rest of the world!

 

I love learning about the latest in health and nutrition, spreading the message that there's not one-size-fits-all to health and to educating on health topics, I started the Wellness Warriors Radio podcast to reach a wider audience with this message.  I hope you'll join our community and listen!

 

When I'm not working, learning, developing or teaching courses, or dreaming up my next project, I enjoy farmers markets, theatre, listening to podcasts (preferably while walking in nature) and a little dance break here and there.  A good night's sleep is always a priority for me too.

My own health journey continues, but I'm grateful you've read a little bit about me and found your way here.  We're all at different stages and as health seekers, we are always on a winding path to what we determine is "perfect health" (if that actually exists).  Just know wherever you are on your health journey, I will meet you there.  I look forward to hearing from you soon about how I can support you in reaching your goals for health and happiness.
