Paleo Sugars 101

Did you know that there are over 60 names for sugar?!?!?
Sugar is hiding everywhere - pasta sauce, breads, muffins, yogurt, green juice...even the "healthy" breakfast bars, cereals and Paleo treats you might be eating in excess just trying to be healthy!  

Don't feel bad...I was once fooled too before I became more aware and educated. Now I know what to look for and how sugar works in the body and that's why I am passionate about teaching others.

As a Certified 21-Day Sugar Detox Coach you might assume that I want you to give up all sugar forever or that I never eat sugar...well that's not true! While we can all benefit from a sugar detox (more on that below), a healthy diet is one that is sustainable well beyond a targeted nutrition challenge.  

If you've been through my 21-Day Sugar Detox Program, you'll know more about the healthy, natural sugars that I recommend are best to consume in moderation.  If you haven't been through my 21-Day Sugar Detox Program, or worked with me as a 1:1 client in a Custom Health Coaching Program, then you might still not fully understand the difference between the types of sugars or really why we want to minimize sugars, and foods that easily convert to sugar (glucose) in the body.

I've become such an expert on this topic, my fellow health coach friend asked to interview me on her podcast where we talk about what healthy sugars we recommend.
