Dairy-free Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Prep Notes

I recommend slightly freezing the avocadoes before blending if you wish to serve immediately.


1-2 servings


  • 1-2 large ripe avocados, pitted
  • 1/4 cup raw unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup canned full-fat coconut milk or coconut cream
  • 1 tsp natural vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop Collagen peptides
  • Optional extras: toasted sliced almonds, unsweetened coconut flakes, chia seeds, frozen mixed berries, frozen banana, almond or sunflower seed butter, raw cocoa nibs, coconut oil or MCT oil


Purée the avocado until smooth.

Mix together the cocoa powder, collagen peptides and coconut milk until combined and add to the avocado.

Stir in the vanilla extract, and any extra ingredients and mix or blend well.

Transfer the mousse to individual bowls and store in the fridge until ready to eat.


Note:  When you are not following a sugar detox, you may add 1 tsp. of green-leaf stevia, monk fruit or other low-carb natural sweetener.
